SURFCRAFT WINS NOOSA

The Noosa Festival of Surfing brings the spirit, culture and the joys of surfing to the shores of Noosa Heads, a World Surfing Reserve. The Festival celebrated its 32nd anniversary in 2023, with the Festival running from Saturday 4 March to Sunday 12 March 2023 and SurfCraft entered its Brookvale inspired team for the first time.
Wow what a prestigious win, with a stacked field including Deus, Thomas, Thomas B Team, Noosa Mal Club, Golden Breed and other teams, SurfCraft wins the prestigous Noosa Surfing Festival Teams Event in 2023. Representing Brookvale, this was a very special win for our team, for our local suburb, inspired by our great history from the surfing pioneers, The Brookvale Six with Tom the grandson of the great Barry Bennett riding for Bennett Surfboards, Matt riding for Bob McTavish and the Keyo team riders Gus & Chelsea riding for Keyo and Denny Keogh (DK). The history of surfing was well represented with our team and the future looks bright for the sport.
First time we had ever competed as a team and the only mixed team of experience, age and gender! Makes this win even more impressive.
Gus O'Malley was so cool, unfazed, respectful and super impressive in and out of the water. Tom Bennett was first in and stylishy set the foundations for the team win, even though Byron sold him a lemon he turned this into sparkling Lemonade. Chelsea Tingle was impressive, stylish and landed a great wave in the final and she will be a star of the future. Our Captain Matt Chojnacki well he was super professional as always, leading, motivating, calling the shots and making it happen in and out of the water - a great Captains Knock!
Thanks to the team for setting up the tent, with a great activation visually set up at First Point. Thanks to Byron & Minna, our team of supporters, and friends. We had our beers in the hands of the World Champ and Noosa Longboard greats and our story of the surfing pioneers from Brookvale is becoming more and more listened too and respected by the surfing community.
Yewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!! Great win team SurfCraft.
